A Monk on the Mission

Tag: Ignatius Press

A word from the wise

Ignatius Press has put out a series of these pithy, visual Quotables, for which they must be thanked.

After afternoon Mass I noticed these two little chaps for the first time, hidden in plain sight in St Anne's. The faces are remarkably non-generic. Monk-pastors of the day?
Douai Abbey - home of the mystery apple.
After 4 hours of combat with the A34, M40, M42, M6 (ever the spirit crusher) and M58, it was a joyful surprise indeed to find a mystery parcel with these two inside it. A kindness beyond my deserving. Someone will be getting a Mass, eh @salopescira ... 🙏 Thank you. It was a true spirit lifter. Now where's the kettle... ☕ @tregothnan

Finished this today. ☹️ A gift about this time last year, it was my treat tea. It is a lovely blend. I'll need to find a more modest replacement at Booths. #treattea #firstworldproblems
This corner of my study had some attention today. #johnhenrynewman
